I've been to Mt Wellington already a view times. I thought why not taking a hike up to Mt Wellington? A 1km height difference. I miscalculated how long it would approximately take me to reach the peak so I made just right before the sunset.

Mt Anne Track | TAS

While my friend and I were on exploration in the Hartz National Park 2 weeks ago we came across Jin, who was coming back from the summit. We spontaneously decided to take the challenge and conquer Mt. Anne in South-West National Park together. One of my favourite hikes in Tasmania with stunning views from the get go. Definitely not to miss out.

Facing towards Mt. Eliza, the young sister of Mt. Anne. The weather started to change while we were ascending towards the peak. We met two guys at the hut just before Mt. Eliza who just canceled their trip, as their planed was to do the full circle. They both camped the night up there and the weather was tremendous. Their advice: better do it on an other day. We were still keen to go further and try it anyhow! Let's go!

As expected we were covered by the clouds, eagerly waiting for the clouds to move. It was windy and cold and we had to continue walking to keep ourselves warm.

And we got lucky! We had a view for couple of minutes before the sun completely vanished behind the mountains. The wind turned and we got covered back by the clouds. Time to decide what to do. After a few minutes we decided to leave Mt. Anne for now and give a another go on a better day. It was definitely worth it to climb Mt. Eliza though.

I was exploding for excitement and couldn’t resist to take the ascent to “heaven”. One of my highlights in Tasmania with views I won’t forget. The walk itself is beautifully made and very easy to follow. Definitely check out the weather before cresting the mountain to get beautiful views from one of the highest mountain as Tasmania is well known for its unpredictable weather.

Lake Dove | Cradle Mountain | TAS

After having constantly rain for the last 3 days traveling from the east coast up north and then down towards Cradle Mountain. Very unpredictable weather.. and we really thought to skip Cradle Mountain for a better day. We camped on a free camp spot only couple of kms away. In the morning we woke up before the sun rose. Unbelievable! A clear sky... The morning was spectacular with clear reflections along Lake Dove.

I couldn't be happier to have my lunch on Cradle mountain. All the effort and sweat. I'm fascinated by the extraordinary rock formations roaring from the mountain. The dead silence is absolute.

The story behind this photo: After traveling from Maria Island to Freycinet National Park I was about to camp at a lake not far away from Coles Bay. The night was freezing cold I woke up at night because of the cold and couldn't get warm again. Time? Around 2 am. What should you suppose to do if you're shivering with cold. Well, I decided to get in my car and to do an early hike at night to see the sun rise above Wineglass Bay. It was an honour to watch this spectacle.

My friend Sissy and I went for an adventure. Destination: Maria Island May I say how incredibly beautiful you are? A place for everyones needs. Nature, Wildlife, Hiking, Beach, Camping... I'm speechless. A view from the top of Bishop and Clerk's Summit. All the effort was worth it.

What do you do if you can't fall asleep because you're too excited to go on an adventure? We stayed at the campsite close to the south beach on Bruny Island and decided to drive to the Lighthouse and examine the galaxy above us. It was so dark that we couldn't see ourselves once we separated.
